The holiday resort of Halkidiki is a set on 3 famous Greek peninsulas set South of Thessaloniki in Northern Greece. With over 300 superb beaches and coves lapped by the crystal clear warm waters of the Aegean Sea, breathtaking scenery and an abundance of interesting places to visit, Halkidiki is a holidaymaker’s paradise. A holiday to the Greek resort of Halkididki will be filled with long lazy days spent soaking up the sun, and families and couples alike will love the wide range of leisure facilities on offer. Whether visiting Halkidiki as a family, couple or group, you will have a dream holiday and want to return year after year to this little piece of paradise on earth, so why not take a look at our fantastic holiday offers and last minute deals for your perfect holiday to a brilliant Greek resort?

The most western peninsular, Kassandra, is the busiest and the most popular, due to its closeness to lively Thessaloniki. In Kassandra you will find an excellent range of accommodation, from large, contemporary Five Star hotel complexes to smaller Half Board hotels. Most hotels overlook fine, white sandy beaches that have stunning backdrops of lush pine trees. The largest resorts, Kalithea, Pefkohori and Hanioti (all on the east coast), attract those looking for all-inclusive package deals.

Halkidiki is gifted with beautiful turquoise waters and fine golden sandy beaches, over 40 of which have been awarded the Blue Flag award, internationally recognising them for their high standards of cleanliness. In the popular resort of Kassandra, the most popular beaches are Hanioti, Sani, Kalithea and Pefkohori, all of which are equipped with sun beds and umbrellas for hire, plus a variety of fun water sports facilities. The middle peninsular, Sithonia, is considered the most aesthetically pleasing, with its unspoilt fishing villages and rugged, pine-forested interior. Less developed and less busy than Kassandra, it caters for a more exclusive brand of tourism, and offers a large sailing marina at Porto Carras.

Near the village of Petralona, there is an extensive cave complex whose corridors extend for over 1,900 metres and contain particularly fine examples of stalactites and stalagmites. The fishing villages of Nea Skioni, Possidi and Siviri are famous for their seafood specialties prepared in the numerous seaside tavernas which also serve the excellent locally produced wine.

The eastern-most peninsular, Mount Athos, also known as the Holy Mountain, is a semi-independent monastic state and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its forested slopes are home to 20 monasteries and some 1,700 monks. Only men are permitted to visit Mount Athos, and they must apply for a permit in advance

With so much to do and see in Halkidiki there is something for everyone to enjoy and you will never want your holiday to end!
