Holidays in Mykonos

The most cosmopolitan of the Greek islands, Mykonos,with its superb beaches, sparkling nightlife and fascinating architecture is often referred to as the jewel in the crown of the Cyclades.The capital Hora is a stunningly pretty town comprising of a maze of tiny streets, full of brilliantly whitewashed box shaped houses adorned with brightly coloured shutters and balconies. These are interspersed with small but impressive churches, traditional tavernas, souvenir shops and boutiques. All this surrounds a colourful harbour where local fishing boats float comfortably alongside luxury yachts. Due to the hilly nature of the island, Mykonos is not an ideal location for those with walking difficulties, the elderly or the infirm.

A traditional and charming resort boasting a beautiful sandy beach. This is a fairly quiet resort, an ideal place to unwind from the pressures of modern life. For a more varied entertainment scene Mykonos town is a 10 minutes drive away.

Agios Ioannis Transfers: 25.ms (by taxi)
Filmed on this very location was “Shirley Vanentine” and this picturesque and small resort is still as beautiful and as unattached by modern life as it was then. Getaway from it all, hideaway from it all, this is where you can really lose yourself and just watch the time go by without a care in the world.

Plati Yialos Transfers: 25.ms (by taxi)
An ideal resort for both families and couples, it offers two sandy beaches and plenty of water activities for all those water-sports enthusiasts. There is a good selection of tavernas around the beach and although this is a small and lively resort, evening entertainment is usually found at the hotels.
