Why not visit the historical fortress of Alanya that has 140 watchtowers and played an important part in the Alanya’s naval base. The platform pinned into the Cliffside is said to have been the place from where prisoners were pushed off into the sea below. Another excellent place to visit is the “Red Tower” that can be seen from either side of the resort. It was primarily built to defend the town’s important shipyard but is now one of the resorts main attractions.
